The mycoses that commonly appear in men are fungal infections that affect the skin, nails and hair. The most common occur on the skin and can manifest anywhere on the surface of the body.
Mycoses of the scalp and beard (pityriasis), nails and those causing the chilblains (athlete's foot).
Mycoses can also affect the mucous membranes such as the mouth. This is the case of thrush, very common in children. This disease manifests itself by multiple white spots on the mucosa.
Ringworm on scalp
There are also fungi that parasitize the interior of the body, such as the fungus that causes histoplasmosis, a serious disease that attacks the lungs.
