Insulin - Pancreatic hormone that lowers blood sugar.
Interdigitations - Membrane specialization that increases the contact surface and adhesion between neighboring cells.
Interferon - Substance of cellular origin capable of inhibiting the multiplication of cancer cells and certain viruses. Used for cancer treatment.
Tenancy - harmonic interspecific association in which individuals of one species lodge in another, obtaining protection and support.
Isogamy - Type of sexual reproduction, in algae and fungi, in which gametes are of similar size.
K - Vitamin K or phylloquinone. Fat-soluble vitamin that fights bleeding. Main sources: leafy vegetables and garlic.
